How do I know my image will work?
Upon uploading your file, you will be notified if your file meets our requirements for the size of print that you are ordering. The subject in your photo, at a minimum, should encompass 50% of the entire image. If the image does not meet this requirement the quality when enlarged will appear pixelated and blurry. You should also follow the guidelines set below for resolution requirements. Please remember that the output quality is only as good as the input quality of the image.

What are your minimum resolution requirements for an image?
Digital camera images require a minimum resolution of 2048 x 1536. This resolution is available on any camera with a megapixel rating of 3 or more. Simply set your image capture settings to the highest quality. Scanned images require a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at 8"e; x10"e;. We require a minimum of 300 dpi for any images that are to be reproduced larger than 4 feet high.

What are some tips for creating a great Big Shot?
A vertical (portrait) full-body shot against a high-contrast background makes one of the best final prints. Contrast between the subject and the background is important because Big Shots are trimmed around the subject. An image that started out with a light colored background looks best on a light-colored wall and conversely, a light subject against a dark background works best on a dark colored wall.

• The bigger the image size, the larger the shot can be reproduced.
• Upload files in RAW format if possible--this is our preferred file format.
• Fill the entire frame with the subject, taking care not to crop the subject’s head, hands or feet.
• For smaller subjects like pets and children, the photograph should be taken at their eye level.
